Abby fell in love with travel while on a Newtown HS trip to Europe in April 2025. Though she traveled on numerous family vacations in the US and abroad, the 10-day trip to Paris, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, sparked a wanderlust in her to explore the rich landscape and unique cultural experiences of traveling to new and different places with like-minded companions. She returned from that trip with greater confidence, a sense of independence and the dream of studying abroad.
She was preparing to begin the second semester of her senior year at NHS, and about to make a final decision on college, when she died unexpectedly on the afternoon of January 8, 2026, from sudden cardiac death due to an arrhythmia of unknown nature.
Abby was a beautiful, engaging, funny, loving soul. She will always be treasured for her kindness, integrity, hardworking nature, and welcoming approach towards all who had the privilege of knowing her.
