All graduating high school seniors who are residents of Newtown, Connecticut, and former high school graduates who were residents of Newtown, Connecticut, at the time of graduation are encouraged to apply to NSA. Students must be pursuing an undergraduate college degree or technical school education. Scholarships are awarded to students based on their family’s financial need, the student’s academic information, activities, work history, and an interview with the NSA Awards Committee. Awards are for one academic year only; students must reapply each year they wish to be considered for scholarship assistance. Students who are already enrolled in college or technical school and not currently receiving an award but have financial need are encouraged to apply.
